Where we came from
AIC started in the United Kingdom in 1980, working with raw materials processing and manufacturing companies on plant performance. The work was the same then as now: putting experienced people on site where a project or a plant needed them.
In 2005 we moved to the United Arab Emirates. The reason was practical — our clients' projects had shifted east and south, and being closer to them meant faster mobilization and fewer time zones between a request and a person on a plane.
Where we are now
AIC Industrial Consultancy FZE is based in Ajman. Our specialists — engineers, supervisors, control room operators and non-technical site personnel — come from eleven nationalities and work worldwide.

Forty years with the same clients
Our cement and minerals division has worked with every major producer in the sector for forty years, without a break in continuity. In an industry that moves in cycles — where plants are built in waves and then nothing is built for years — that is the part of our record we are most attached to.
It is also the reason our people have seen equipment that younger engineers have only read about.
How we work
We are not an EPC contractor. We do not take on scope, and we do not compete with the contractors our clients hire. Our people work inside the client’s organization, reporting to the client’s project manager.
That keeps things simple. The client keeps responsibility and control; we supply the temporary technical staff they do not have on the payroll or cannot spare from another site.
